OKC Thunder win T-Shirt FAIL

Company pulls anti-Seattle, Oklahoma City Thunder T-shirts after receiving death threats -
05-22-2012 The New York Times' Howard Beck, on his way from Los Angeles to Oklahoma City
to cover Monday's Game 5 between the Lakers and Thunder, uncovered this rather shady
T-shirt design on Sunday. The Thunder aren't exactly giving these rags out at the door,
but that didn't stop our initial post on the T-shirts on Monday morning from inspiring a
world of outrage on Twitter, and apparent death threats sent the way of Warpaint Clothing,
the company that humorlessly put the duds together -- utilizing the former Seattle
SuperSonics logo along the way. Rightfully, just one Thunder fan deciding to purchase this
and pull it over their head is enough for us to break out the Patented BDL Tsk-Tsk Geiger
Counter -- and as a result Warpaint has decided to stop selling the shirts because of
death threats sent its way in reaction. To reiterate, Oklahoma City didn't wrest its
current team out of Seattle because 37 selected fans and civic leaders won a free-throw
shooting contest. It didn't "win" the team by being the quickest to press buttons in some
trivia contest at a local chicken wing joint ("PRESS 'B!' It's 'Romancing the Stone!'
Hurry!"), and the presiding genius of GM Sam Presti is no reflection on either level of
fandom emanating from either Oklahoma City or Seattle. No, the current Oklahoma City
Thunder are not the former Seattle SuperSonics mainly because former owner (and current

forward with the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A

amazingly well for over three years. Granted, it's a boutique gym--not a 24 hour fitness;
however, this board gets a ton of use. Almost every trainer works with it in some way. In
fact, I was finally motivated to buy one of these myself because the one at our gym is
almost always monopolized (and I wanted to practice on it out of public view...it takes a
little while to get to the point where you're actually strong enough to balance and don't
embarrass yourself by simply teetering safely from one side to the next).My board arrived
in good shape from Lifestyle Sports. The board itself is quite rugged. The wood is nice
and thick--as are the rubber components. I use it for snowboard training, so I'm quite
aggressive with it, but it's reassuringly strong. It's also just the perfect width for
push-ups.There are two wooden pegs that can be removed from two rubber rings to allow
forward/backward movement. Beginners will want to work with the pegs installed, which
restricts you to a simpler side-to-side movement. I would give this product 5 stars;
however, the pegs occasionally pop out after several uses--causing a bit of a surprise. I
feel this could be solved with a better design, but it is easily avoidable by checking the
pegs before each use.I would recommend this product to people interested in strengthening

you start dunking in 3 weeks! Denver fired Westhead prior to the 1992-1993 season and
hired ABA legend and former Nugget Player Dan Issel. The Nuggets had two lottery picks
that year and drafted University of Notre Dame forward LaPhonso Ellis and University of
Virginia guard Bryant Stith. Denver improved to 36-46, just missing the playoffs that
year. Denver ditched their rainbow colors for a dark blue and gold scheme starting in the
1993-1994 season. Led by Mutombo, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (who changed his name from Chris
Jackson prior to the season), and Ellis, Denver would finish with its first winning season
since the Doug Moe era at 42-40. Denver clinched the 8th seed in the Western Conference
playoffs, playing the first place Seattle SuperSonics. Denver was a heavy underdog, having
only a couple of players on their roster with actual NBA playoff experience. After
dropping the first two games of the five game set in Seattle, the series returned to
Denver. Denver won both games and tied the series at two games apiece. The Nuggets would
make NBA history in Game 5, upsetting Seattle in overtime 98-94. They became the first 8th
seeded team to defeat a 1st seeded team in NBA playoff history. Denver would almost do the
