Watson: 'I don't think I'm going to be here' next season
Earl Watson thinks the final two games will be his last in a Thunder uniform. The reserve point guard said coach Scott Brooks' future with the team won't impact him one way or the other.

"I don't think I'm going to be here regardless," said Watson, who has one year remaining on his contract next season for $6.6 million.

"You never know, this business is incredible. But going into the last year of my deal business-wise you become an attractive contract. And for the last month I haven't been playing. So why would I be here?"

Watson, who began the season as the starting point guard, was replaced by rookie Russell Westbrook on Nov. 29, two weeks into Brooks' tenure as interim coach.

Watson was then knocked down to third string after a March 11 game at Denver in favor of Chucky Atkins as the backup. Saturday's game at Milwaukee was Watson's first action since the Nuggets game on March 11.

Watson is averaging 6.3 points, 5.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 66 games this season.

SUMMER LEAGUE ROSTER TAKING SHAPE

The Thunder's summer league roster is already taking shape. Among the players expected to participate in the team's summer league schedule are Westbrook, Kyle Weaver, D.J. White, Shaun Livingston, Serge Ibaka and 2008 second-round draft pick Devon Hardin. The Thunder also has two first-round picks in the June draft, and both players could also join the team if the Thunder retains both selections. The Thunder also continues to monitor Steven Hill's development with the Tulsa 66ers, and the 7-foot center could also receive an invitation.

Oklahoma City has yet to make a final decision on which summer league it will participate in, but the Vegas Summer League and the Orlando Pro Summer League are believed to be the leading candidates.

LIVINGSTON LOOKING TO BUILD CONFIDENCE

Livingston, who joined the Thunder on March 31, said he's attempting to help build the confidence of his teammates like veterans once did with him with the Los Angeles Clippers.

"Sam Cassell, Cuttino Mobley, guys like that came to the Clippers organization, a storied franchise for losing, and they brought confidence, swagger and experience," Livingston said. "That developed into a playoff run. That's all this team is missing ... It comes with time, but also you have to give yourself a chance to really learn that and go through it."
