Coach P.J. Carlesimo said Durant will be day-to-day and his status for Friday's game at New York is up in the air. Desmond Mason started in his place against Orlando.
Durant, the NBA's rookie of the year, scored 37 points in Oklahoma City's loss at Indiana on Monday, but only practiced for a few minutes on Tuesday because of the ankle. The Thunder are off Thursday before back-to-back games against the Knicks and Philadelphia.
The Thunder were without forward Chris Wilcox for the second straight game because of an injured right knee.
