Thunder on TV
Television executives aren't buying into the hype the Thunder is a team on the rise.

Oklahoma City has only three national TV appearances, with only one on ESPN. TNT and ABC will televise a combined 143 games, none involving the Thunder .

The Thunder's home game against Dallas on Dec. 16 will be shown on ESPN. The other two nationally televised games, both at home, will be among 96 games shown on NBATV.

Former OU star Blake Griffin's only Ford Center appearance (Dec. 2) will be televised on NBATV. The Thunder's Dec. 16 game against Philadelphia also will be televised on the league network (Cox 256).

Last season the Thunder played two nationally televised games. ESPN was in Oklahoma City for the return of the Hornets, the Ford Center's former tenets. The Thunder also appeared once on NBATV.

ESPN is televising 75 regular season games, the majority on Wednesday and Friday nights.

TNT is televising 53 regular season games, the majority Thursday night double-headers.

ABC has exclusive rights to 15 regular-season games, including a Christmas Day double-header matching the Magic and Celtics, followed by a showdown of the last two MVPs - Kobe Bryant and the Lakers hosting LeBron James and the Cavaliers.

Griffin's NBA debut will be televised Oct. 27 against the Lakers on ESPN. Griffin and the Clippers also play Phoenix on ESPN on Christmas Day.
