--Don't be surprised if you see Nick Collison or Francisco Elson starting at center against Toronto on Sunday. After struggling defensively on Wednesday against Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut (21 points, 13 rebounds) and on Friday against Philadelphia's Samuel Dalembert (22 points, 13 rebounds), the Johan Petro starting center project may be shelved for the time being.
"I'm not ready to say end of the experiment, or that it's definitive right now," Carlesimo said. "But it is what it is in terms of starting and playing against the front-line guys is different than coming off the bench, period." Petro finished with just six points and five rebounds in 24 minutes against Philadelphia, and may be a bit overwhelmed facing the best big men in the league on a regular basis.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "(There was) nothing positive at all, honestly. As much as we need rest, we need to compete and try to get some energy back for Sunday." -- Seattle coach P.J. Carlesimo, on his team's effort against Philadelphia.
