Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-04-10

Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-04-10
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, Small forward Kevin Durant, Power forward Jeff Green, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Guard Chucky Atkins, Forward D.J. White, Forward Nick Collison, Forward Malik Rose, Guard Kyle Weaver, Guard Shaun Livingston.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Kevin Durant sees unrealized potential. The Thunder held a halftime lead Wednesday at Denver and was down just five going into the fourth quarter.

"We feel like we are moving in the right direction, but we still have to learn to close our games," said Durant, who scored 31. "We have to make better decisions and I think that starts with me being a leader.

"We just have to do a better job of getting together. These last two games, being able to come back like we did last night and tonight we feel we have made it a step forward."

--G Desmond Mason is out with a knee injury, but he might have been close to a coming back if the Thunder were in the playoff race.

"I'm well ahead of schedule, but we don't need to rush anything," Mason said. "Going into the summer, we want to make sure to have a full recovery. In a week I'll be on a treadmill doing some stuff. I've been on a bike the last two to three weeks, weight bearing and balance stuff."

--G Kyle Weaver has picked up some of the reserve point guard minutes that were previously going to Chucky Atkins and Earl Watson. Weaver, a rookie, is sharing the backup role now with Shaun Livingston.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Desmond Mason (knee surgery) is missing the rest of the season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

--F Malik Rose (strained left Achilles) was inactive for the second straight game Wednesday.
