Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-14
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Kyle Weaver, Small forward Thabo Sefolosha, Power forward Jeff Green, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Center Robert Swift, Forward Malik Rose, Guard Damien Wilkins.

--G Chucky Atkins thought his trade to OKC from Denver would mean more playing time. It hasn't. Instead, he's been the third point guard, backing up rookie Russell Westbrook and Earl Watson. Though Atkins has played sporadic minutes, he's enthusiastically taken to tutoring Westbrook.

"My thing is just to be a team guy regardless of what the situation is," Atkins said. "I've got to be the same person every day, whether I'm playing 40 minutes or not at all. That's the way I've always approached things."

--C Robert Swift was back with the team Tuesday after an excused absence to return to Seattle be with his 10-month-old son Reiko, who needed surgery to correct overlapping growth plates in his head.

"After seeing him, he's doing well and things are a little bit easier," Swift said. "I wish I was up there the entire time he was in the hospital. It's difficult not being there, but at the same time I know he's OK. And Seattle's got some of the best doctors around, and I know he's in good hands."

--F Jeff Green has scored 41 points in his first two games back, including 19 Wednesday at Denver, after missing four games with a sore lower back. Even though he's been productive right off the bat, Green insists he's not forcing anything.

"I know who's been hot the past few games, so I'm going to feed them the ball," Green said. "I'm not going to come back and shoot all the shots. That's not me."

--F Kevin Durant (sprained right ankle) has missed the last six games and is officially listed as day-to-day. He could return Saturday at Phoenix.

--G Desmond Mason (knee surgery) is missing the rest of the season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery involved mending the jaw with bone graft taken from his hip.

--F Nick Collison (groin injury) missed his second straight game Wednesday at Denver. He could return Saturday.
