Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-09

Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-09
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Kyle Weaver, Small forward Thabo Sefolosha, Power forward Nick Collison, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Guard Chucky Atkins, Center Robert Swift, Forward Jeff Green, Guard, Forward Malik Rose, Guard Damien Wilkins.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Malik Rose has been a strong locker-room presence just about every place he's played. A recent story out of New York said the Knicks miss the off-the-court contributions from veteran.

It hasn't taken long for Rose's Thunder teammates to experience his leadership. "He gets us going," Kyle Weaver said. "Especially now, with guys being down."

--G/F Thabo Sefolosha was back in the starting lineup Sunday against Philadelphia, scoring nine in the Thunder's win. He missed Saturday's loss at New Orleans with a strained knee.

"It's OK," Sefolosha said. "It's just pretty sore still."

--C Robert Swift missed his second straight game Sunday dealing with personal issues. The team expects him back for Tuesday's game at Sacramento.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery involved mending the jaw with bone graft taken from his hip. He's begun doing light workouts.

--G Desmond Mason (knee surgery) is missing the rest of the season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

--F Kevin Durant (sprained right ankle) has missed the last five games and is officially listed as day-to-day.

--F Jeff Green (sore lower back) has missed the last four games and is considered day-to-day.
