Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-08

Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-08
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Damien Wilkins, Small forward Kyle Weaver, Power forward Nick Collison, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Guard Chucky Atkins, Center Robert Swift, Forward Jeff Green, Forward Malik Rose.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Kevin Durant took jumpers before Saturday's game at New Orleans, appearing more comfortable as he recovers from a sprained right ankle. Durant is shooting for a Wednesday return at Denver.

"If not, Phoenix I think for sure," Durant said, referring to Saturday's game. "Right now it's still a little sore when I wake up in the morning. We're trying to get that out, but as of right now, it's getting better.

"Only thing I can't do is probably run as fast as I used to. I just can't sprint. I'm jumping on it a little bit, but other than that I'm all right."

--G Russell Westbrook pointed the Hornets' run to open the fourth quarter as the difference Saturday night. New Orleans increased a four-point lead to 14 thanks to several Oklahoma City turnovers.

"It gave them a little momentum," Westbrook said. "They started getting a couple of lobs, and it was tough from there."

--C Robert Swift didn't travel with the team to New Orleans due to personal reasons, which the Thunder declined to identify. Swift's status for Sunday's game against Philadelphia is unknown.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery involved mending the jaw with a bone graft taken from his hip. He's begun doing light workouts.

--G Desmond Mason (knee surgery) will miss the rest of the season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

--F Kevin Durant (sprained right ankle) has missed the last four games and is officially listed as day-to-day.

--F Jeff Green (sore lower back) is considered day-to-day.

--G Thabo Sefolosha (sprained knee) was scratched before Saturday's game at New Orleans.
