Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-06

Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-06
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, Small forward Kyle Weaver, Power forward Nick Collison, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Center Robert Swift, Guard Damien Wilkins, Forward Malik Rose. PLAYER NOTES:

--C Nenad Krstic followed up a season-high 26-point outing with 18 in Wednesday's win over Washington. He shot 8-of-14 from the floor, bringing his two-game total to a robust 18 of 30 (60 percent). After a slow start to his Oklahoma City stay, the 7-footer is catching on.

"I've always said it just takes some time," Krstic said.

--G Thabo Sefolosha had 15 points and eight boards in the victory over the Wizards. He knocked down 7-of-14 shots, including one of two beyond the arc.

"I know I have to improve my jump shot," he said. "I tried to slash to the basket, look for the open shot or look for my teammates. As a teammate, I am just trying to help out offensively and defensively any way I can."

--G Russell Westbrook had a solid 12 points and eight assists against Washington, but was quick to credit the contributions up and down the roster.

"Everybody stepped up (Wednesday night)," Westbrook said. "With Jeff (Green) and Kevin (Durant) out we all had to step up and play together. Everybody played great on the offensive and defensive end."

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery involved mending the jaw with bone graft taken from his hip. He's begun doing light workouts.

--G Desmond Mason (knee surgery) is missing the rest of the season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

--F Kevin Durant (sprained right ankle) was injured in the first quarter of Friday's overtime loss at Dallas. He's missed the last three games and is officially listed as day-to-day.

--F Jeff Green (sore lower back) missed his second straight game Wednesday and is considered day-to-day.
