--F Joe Smith was waived Sunday. Smith was acquired by the Thunder on August 13, 2008 along with guard Desmond Mason in a three-team trade that sent guards Luke Ridnour and Adrian Griffin to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Smith appeared in 36 games for the Thunder this season, averaging 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19.2 minutes. Cleveland is believed to be the leading contender to sign Smith, who is playoff eligible.
--F Kevin Durant has heard the estimates that he may be out a month because of a severely sprained right ankle. Others wonder if it's best just to shut him down for the rest of the season. Durant wants no part of such talk.
"I want to get better with my teammates throughout the rest of the year," he said. "It's going to be tough not to be on the floor. I just want to get back to 100 percent. Hopefully that's sooner rather than later."

--F Kevin Durant (sprained right ankle) was injured in the first quarter of Friday's overtime loss at Dallas. He's missed the last two games and is officially listed as day-to-day, but he's expected to be out at least another week or two.
