Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-02

Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-03-02
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, Small forward Kevin Durant, Power forward Jeff Green, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Guard Chucky Atkins, Center Robert Swift, Center Nick Collison, Guard Damien Wilkins, Forward Malik Rose, Guard Kyle Weaver.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Thabo Sefolosha played only his fourth game for Oklahoma City and made his third start Saturday at Memphis. He finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds, both season highs.

"Thabo gave us some great minutes," F Jeff Green said. "He made some big plays for us. He played some amazing defense for us."

--F Malik Rose had a solid 14 minutes in his Thunder debut Friday at Dallas, especially at the defensive end.

"I really only know his game from afar," coach Scott Brooks said. "Watching him play for 13 years, I've admired his effort and energy. He impacts the game in an intangible way."

Rose didn't play Saturday at Memphis.

--F Joe Smith has said he doesn't know a thing about rumors that Oklahoma City is going to buy out his contract so he can join another team. In order to be playoff-eligible on another team, Smith would have to be on a roster by Sunday. He didn't play Friday or Saturday.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery involved mending the jaw with a bone graft taken from his hip. He's begun doing light workouts.

--G Desmond Mason (knee surgery) will miss the rest of the season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

--F Kevin Durant (sprained right ankle) was injured in the first quarter of Friday's overtime loss at Dallas. He sat out Saturday at Memphis and is listed as day-to-day.
