ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, Small forward Kevin Durant, Power forward Jeff Green, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard James Harden, Guard Kyle Weaver, Forward Etan Thomas, Forward Nick Collison, Guard Kevin Ollie, Forward D.J. White, Center Serge Ibaka. PLAYER NOTES: --C Serge Ibaka speaks four languages, but English is his least developed. Teammates are acting as tutors, especially during road trips.
"I have English classes," Ibaka said. "In two months, my English will be better."
Jeff Green said: "We know the language barrier is tough, but we're there by his side. We try to translate, help him out. He looks for help. This is his first time here touring all these NBA cities, but he's enjoying it, having a great time. He's picking everything up well."
--F Nick Collison has been moving better lately, but the sprained ankle that has plagued him since training camp still isn't fully headed. The ankle does continue to improve, with Collison estimating it at 90 percent.
"The lift, that's what's been missing," Collison said. "Our trainers said a really bad sprain sometimes still shows signs of an injury a year out. I'm not saying I'll still feel pain a year out, but sometimes it takes a long time. It's getting better, but I still don't feel like my old self."
--F Kevin Durant had a season-high 40 points on 14-for-25 shooting in 44:22 on Sunday night against the Clippers. The stats, though, matter little after the loss.
"My teammates did a good job of finding me and I felt good shooting the ball tonight," Durant said. "We just have to do a better job down the stretch. They got more possessions by rebounding the ball better at the end of the game."
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Shaun Livingston (left knee contusion) was on the inactive list for the second straight game.
