ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, Small forward Kevin Durant, Power forward Jeff Green, Center Nenad Krstic. Bench -- Guard James Harden, Guard Shaun Livingston, Forward Etan Thomas, Forward Nick Collison, Guard Kevin Ollie, Forward D.J. White, Center Serge Ibaka. PLAYER NOTES: --G Russell Westbrook set personal career-high with 13 assists in the opening win over Sacramento. He followed it up with 10 against Detroit.
"If that's what I have to do to help my team win, that's what I am going to do," Westbrook said. "I would rather my teammates get involved before I get myself going. I think it's all a learning process."
--F Kevin Durant is understandably excited about the Thunder's start. In particular, the very start. Oklahoma City may have set the tone for its two-game opening winning streak by outscoring Sacramento 39-22 in the first quarter of the season. "That's one of the best first quarters we've ever had," Durant said. "Guys did a great job of making shots, which is rare when everybody makes shots, but we did a great job on the other end of limiting backdoor cuts."
--C Serge Ibaka made his NBA debut Friday when he checked into the game with 2:53 left in the first half. The 24th pick in 2008 played the rest of the quarter and grabbed one rebound. He didn't play in the second half.
