ANALYZING STARTERS: G Russell Westbrook is an explosive talent who continues to improve as a playmaker. Despite many questioning his lottery status, he finished last season in rookie top 10 in points, rebound and assists. G Thabo Sefolosha is the defensive specialist on the floor. He uses length to his advantage on the perimeter. He averaged 8.5 points for Oklahoma City after being traded from Chicago and started 22 games.
F Kevin Durant is the future of the franchise and a possible MVP down the line. A smooth scorer -- sixth in the league last season -- he has found a comfort zone at small forward.
F Jeff Green is the team's best scorer inside. He's playing a little out of position at power forward, but has an endless motor.
C Nenad Krstic came back to the NBA during last season and quickly meshed with his new teammates. He has a nice range on his jumper, but could rebound better.
ANALYZING KEY RESERVES:
F-C Nick Collison can play both power positions. He's a good teammate and hard worker.
G James Harden is this year's lottery pick. He won't be thrust into a starting role just yet.
G Kyle Weaver has played point guard, shooting guard and small forward during brief career.
F Etan Thomas brings more muscle to the frontline. He's playing in his home state.
MEDICAL WATCH:
F Nick Collison (sprained ankle) hasn't been cleared to resume full-scale practicing. He's officially day-to-day.
