Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2009-01-10
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Kevin Durant, Small forward Jeff Green, Power forward Nick Collison, Center Robert Swift. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Guard Kyle Weaver, Forward Joe Smith, Center Nenad Krstic.

--F Nick Collison didn't play significant minutes in the seven games leading up to Wednesday because of a broken thumb. He was back in the starting lineup Friday and grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with eight points.

The thumb isn't completely healed, he said, but it's not nearly as bad as last week when, "every time I caught a ball the pain was almost unbearable. There's still some pain, but something I can play with."

--F Kevin Durant scored 27 points Friday against Houston, but what he'll remember on the night he debuted his new Nike sneaker is a missed jumper with less than 10 seconds left that would have tied the game.

"He's a fourth-quarter, big-game player," Scott Brooks said. "He's going to make big shots and not turn the ball over in the fourth quarter as he gets better, as we get better. It's something that we're going to work on."

--C Nenad Krstic made his Thunder/season debut Wednesday at Minnesota. The 7-footer had a solid showing with six points, five rebounds and two blocks in 14 minutes.

"I was a little rusty," said Krstic, who last played more than three weeks ago in Russia. "My conditioning was fine. The last quarter, I got a little winded. I still don't have the feel for the game.

"I missed a layup. I didn't catch a ball in the lane. You get that with more playing time. You can't really practice that."

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery involved mending the jaw with bone graft taken from his hip. Recovery time is 4-6 months. He's begun doing light workouts.

--G Desmond Mason (sore back) was inactive Friday night against Houston. He was injured after taking a charge Wednesday at Minnesota.
