Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2008-12-15
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Russell Westbrook, Shooting guard Damien Wilkins, Small forward Kevin Durant, Power forward Jeff Green, Center Johan Petro. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Forward Joe Smith, Guard Kyle Weaver, Center Mo Sene, Forward Nick Collison, Center Steven Hill, Guard Desmond Mason.

--F Kevin Durant has recovered from a slow start with his best basketball of the season. He's averaging 29.8 points in the last four games, including Sunday's loss at San Antonio.

"Kevin has worked hard all summer and it's paying off the early part of the season," coach Scott Brooks said. "The thing with Kevin is he needs to continue to improve and he will. He's a hard worker."

--F Jeff Green scored 22 points against Dallas, knocking down a number of open shots made possible by teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

"A lot of credit goes to my teammates," Green said. "You had Kevin and Russell getting into the paint and they sagged in and I was ready to shoot. So a lot of credit goes to them and I was just ready to shoot."

--G Earl Watson wasn't about to let a rookie get away with anything extra. In the first quarter Sunday night at San Antonio, first-year Spurs backup point guard George Hill lowered his shoulder into Watson and drew an offensive foul.

Perhaps wanting to let Hill know he wasn't happy with the move, Watson tried to slap a dead ball away from Hill. Watson did pick up a technical.

--C Chris Wilcox (dislocated ring finger) suffered the injury on Dec. 10. He's expected to be out 10-14 days, putting his return sometime later this month.

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed on Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery, expected to follow in about six weeks, involves mending the jaw with bone graft taken from his hip. Recovery time is 4-6 months.

--C Robert Swift (lower back discomfort) is inactive. He's officially listed as day-to-day.
