Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2008-11-15

Oklahoma City Thunder Roster Report 2008-11-15
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Earl Watson, Shooting guard Kevin Durant, Small forward Jeff Green, Power forward Nick Collison, Center Robert Swift. Bench -- Guard Russell Westbrook, Forward Joe Smith, Center Johan Petro, Guard/Forward Desmond Mason.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Jeff Green has shot better from beyond the arc than inside it. He went into Friday nailing 52.2 percent of his three-point tries.

"I've been practicing it, shooting a lot every day," Green said. "These past two games, my shots have been falling. Teams have been backing off me, so I've just been taking what they give me. If they keep doing that, I'll keep shooting. I'm trying to do whatever I can to help my team win."

--C Robert Swift has gotten a hard time from his teammates for his look for years. He's made quite a statement with the long red hair and tattoos. Recently, he cropped the 'do and the feedback has been positive.

"They're all telling me it looks better," Swift said. "I cut off around 14 inches this past summer, changing back to a shaggy look instead of it being really long.

"This time I took most of it off. I've relatively had the same haircut for three years. I just wanted a change. I meant to do it a while ago, but haven't had time."

--G Kevin Durant unveils his first signature shoe in January. The "Home" sneaker will features a white leather upper with an orange swoosh on the outside of the shoe and a white swoosh on the inside.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F D.J. White (jaw surgery) had a benign tumor removed on Oct. 13. The second phase of the surgery, expected to follow in about six weeks, involves mending the jaw with bone graft taken from his hip. Recovery time is 4-6 months.

--F Chris Wilcox (sprained right knee) is day-to-day. He suffered the injury Sunday against Atlanta and had further tests Monday. He wasn't active Wednesday against Orlando or Friday against New York.
