Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-03-30

Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-03-30
--Oklahoma City has only one more game on what's been a tough trip Tuesday at San Antonio. The Thunder surely can't wait to get back into the Ford Center, where they've enjoyed rowdy crowds and relative success.

Oklahoma City is 14-23 at home, including 12-9 in its last 21 games.

"From talking to coaches around the league when they come in and talking to some players that I know around the league, they love coming (to Oklahoma City) because they know they're going to have an exciting crowd and they're going to be behind us," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "The great teams love to play in front of a crowd that's hostile. They want to play against an angry crowd."

--The Thunder went into Sunday eighth in the league in free throw shooting at 78.7 percent. Over the previous 10 games, however, Oklahoma City is a league-best 84.6 percent.

"Guys are focused and they concentrate," Scott Brooks said of the steady improvement all season at the line. "They stick with the same routine and the reps are there.

"Those are the things that you need to become a great free throw shooter. You obviously have to have the fundamentals, the form down, but you stick with your routine, you put your reps in and you make your free throws."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We did a pretty good job for three quarters. We had a chance to make it a good fourth quarter game and didn't do a good job of executing." -- Thunder coach Scott Brooks, on being down just three points Sunday at Boston before losing by 19.
