Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-03-20
--G Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose, two of leading contenders for Rookie of the Year, met for the second time this season Wednesday when Chicago visited Oklahoma City.

Rose was the top pick by the Bulls, while Westbrook was taken fourth. Westbrook went into the game averaging 15.8 points, 5.0 assists and 4.9 rebounds, with Rose at 16.4 points, 6.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds. The two also know each other quite well, having also squared off in last year's Final Four. Rose and Memphis knocked out Westbrook and UCLA.

"He wasn't the number one pick for nothing," Westbrook said of Rose. "He's a good guy as well. There's a lot of things we do different but a lot of similarities as well."

--The Ford Center has become quite a hospitable home for the Thunder. Oklahoma City is 12-7 in the friendly confines since New Year's Eve.

Three of the losses were on last-second shots, with a couple more setbacks the result of fourth-quarter rallies led by MVP candidates Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade.

"This crowd is unbelievable," Kevin Durant said. "During the fourth quarter (Tuesday), I was trying to talk to Thabo (Sefolosha) and he couldn't hear me. That's always a good sign."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We didn't come out the way we did in the past couple of games. We had that fire at some points in the game but not throughout the entire 48 minutes. That's what hurt us tonight. We need that to win games." -- F Thabo Sefolosha, after a lackluster showing in Wednesday's home loss to Chicago.
