Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-03-18
--The roster is about as healthy as it's going to get this season, so coach Scott Brooks has put together his preferred starting lineup. The backcourt is Russell Westbrook and Thabo Sefolosha, with Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic up front.

Brooks has had to use the likes of Kyle Weaver, Damien Wilkins, Nick Collison and others as fill-in starters recently. He's hoping those days of using reserves in extended roles are over.

"I appreciate the guys' effort that were given some minutes," Brooks said. "It's not easy to sit for a while and then all of a sudden play good minutes and perform. They performed well.

"But now that we have all our starters back their minutes will be reduced. When they're in there I still want them to play with that same confidence and energy."

--Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is impressed with the Thunder's young nucleus built around Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Russell Westbrook.

"It is a fine group of young players, and it is only going to get better as they add to their team," Popovich said. "These guys will keep gaining experience and ... knowledge, get used to each other.

"They have made some new additions too, so they are still getting used to each others' play. It is a beginning of a great future for the franchise."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We never gave up and we fought with them all night. They have three All-Stars and three possible future Hall of Famers." -- Forward Jeff Green after the Thunder defeated San Antonio on Monday night.
