Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-03-04
--Injuries to Kevin Durant and Jeff Green meant a trickle-down in extra minutes throughout the roster. Kyle Weaver started in place of Durant, and Nick Collison was in the lineup for Green on Monday. Off the bench, Malik Rose and Robert Swift took on more prominent roles against the Mavericks.

"A coach told me a long time ago, all you need is five," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "We have more than that. We'll be fine. We'll put our best guys on the court. They'll play the hardest. Whoever gets more minutes than they normally do, they're going to have to take advantage of that."

--It shouldn't be surprising that a team with one of the league's worst records struggles in close games. The Thunder are 1-8 when the margin is two points or less and 3-17 when it's six or less.

"It's all a learning experience for us to where we'll start winning some of these close games sooner or later," Scott Brooks said. "Whether that's this season or next season, they can draw on these experiences."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "It feels good. With Jeff (Green) and Kevin (Durant), I just tried to get everyone involved in the game. It feels really good. I am looking forward to getting a few more of these." -- G Russell Westbrook after notching his first career triple-double Monday night.
