Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-02-24
--The Thunder dropped their fifth straight Saturday at Golden State, and the schedule doesn't get any easier. Oklahoma City plays 10 playoff contenders in its next 13 games, stretching into the third week of March.

"There is no excuse, we are going to play a lot of playoff teams in the next month or so and we just have to compete," coach Scott Brooks said. "You can't give a good playoff team open shots. We can't let them just play offense and pick us apart.

"We have to put more pressure on them, and we have to guard the ball. If the ball does break our man down, we have to have help and finish it off with a rebound."

--Golden State, Saturday night's foe, is one of the two teams Oklahoma City has beaten twice this season. (Memphis being the other.) The Thunder's win in Oakland on Jan. 21 is one of their three road wins.

The Thunder weren't as lucky Saturday. The loss at Golden State was the seventh straight away from home, and Oklahoma City's 3-24 road mark is the league's worst.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "What I'm hearing right now is that the city is really in love with the team and they get pumped up for the games." -- F Malik Rose, on his first impressions of the Thunder.
