--The victory over Memphis put the Thunder three games over .500 for the first time this season. The last time the franchise realized such standing was 2004, when it was still located in Seattle. As has been the case all season, Oklahoma City tried to keep the modest but significant achievement in the proper light. "I try to keep everything in perspective," coach Scott Brooks said. "We're a team that's getting better."
--Within the same half, Oklahoma City had one of its worst and best quarters of the season. The Thunder scored just 10 Friday in the third against Memphis, matching the fewest points scored in a period, and gave up the lead.
Oklahoma City got the lead back and won the game with 36 points in the fourth, tied for its second most this season, on 66.7 percent shooting.
"We knew that they were going to make a run at some point," James Harden said. "In that fourth quarter, we settled down and played our offense."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Well he was in a zone, there was no doubt. You can't do much about it. He's one of the best players in the world." -- Coach Scott Brooks on LeBron James, who scored 44 on Sunday.
