--Oklahoma City had a good start to its five-game homestand with Friday's rousing win over Milwaukee, followed by a much needed practice Saturday. But the Thunder took a tumble Sunday, losing their composure late in a loss to Houston. That wasn't the recipe for a team that's trying to build on its record during these two weeks at home. "We have to protect our house," Kevin Durant said. "We went through a tough test on the road. I think we did decent. We could have done a lot better, but home is where we have to protect."
OKC has only three games over the next 11 days, all at home, against Philadelphia, Boston and Golden State.
--Veteran point guard Kevin Ollie was pleased by the addition of Mike Wilks, and not because the two are friends and share the same agent. The well-traveled Wilks is the same sort of calming influence on the court as Ollie.
"He's a very intelligent player with a high IQ," Ollie said. "Mike won't have any problems coming in and picking up our offense."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "We're just playing hard. We play the same every night. We give it all we've got. Sometimes we just come up with the victory on the road. There's no change here at home." -- Forward Jeff Green after Sunday's home loss to Houston.
