--The formula for success isn't that complicated for Kevin Durant. It goes back to the playground and the reason most NBA players picked up a ball. "We play hard," he said. "We care about each other on the floor so we never leave each other out on an island. We move the ball and play together on both ends. "We just have fun playing with each other and I think that is the easiest thing. People get away from having fun, but that is what we do here."
--Oklahoma City has built its 7-6 overall record largely on the strength on its performance on the road. The Thunder is 4-2 away from the Ford Center, including wins at San Antonio, Detroit and Miami.
"It shows we're growing as a team," Kevin Durant said. "We know how to handle situations throughout a game. Last year when we were up nine points with about four minutes left, we probably would have given the game away. Now we're sustaining leads and making plays down the stretch."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "If we have an opportunity to run we will, but that's not our game. We stayed poised tonight throughout the whole game, they made some runs, but we came back at them." -- Forward Kevin Durant on beating Washington 127-108 Friday night.
