He later called it the toughest loss of his young career. Durant air-balled a 30-footer for the win late in regulation and missed all four of his shots in the extra session.

"I had the game in my hands twice and I didn't come through," he said. "But people told me that great players have a short memory, so that's what I have to learn how to do."

--Jeff Green had been the Thunder's most consistent player through four games, averaging 19.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals in 40.5 minutes while shooting 50 percent.

Well, Friday night wasn't so hot. Green scored just six on 3-of-15 shooting and grabbed just five boards. Even with the poor outing, Scott Brooks said Green's early production is a product of hard work and continued maturity.

"He's a tremendous talent that plays the right way," Brooks said. "He plays solid, consistent basketball that a coach can count on and he's even taken it up to another level."
