Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-02-03
--The loss of starting shooting guard Desmond Mason for the season will likely mean lineup changes in from time to time. Rookie guard Kyle Weaver has started the last two games, but starting five is hardly set.

"It's probably going to be game to game, depending on how things go," OKC coach Scott Brooks said. "It's not necessarily going to be if someone gets taken out of the lineup it's because they played bad. Sometimes it could be due to matchups."

Outside of minor injuries, the other four starters -- point guard Russell Westbrook, small forward Kevin Durant, power forward Jeff Green and center Nick Collison -- have remained fairly consistent.

--The 20-point loss at Utah on Friday was the Thunder's first double-digit setback since Jan. 7. For a team routinely routed during the first two months, going more than three weeks without a blowout loss was significant.

Still, Scott Brooks wasn't about to excuse the effort. The Thunder committed 25 turnovers, one shy of a season high, in the 110-90 setback.

"We didn't do a good job matching their physical play," Brooks said. "We needed to play hard. We turned it over too many times and it was because they were physical with us."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We had an incredible offensive performance, but that means nothing if we don't go down there and stop them from scoring." -- Thunder coach Scott Brooks after Russell, Kevin Durant and Jeff Green combined for 95 points in Sunday's 122-118 loss to Sacramento.
