--There's no denying Kevin Durant's talent, which was on full display when he scored 46 points and grabbed 15 rebounds Friday at the Los Angeles Clippers. The problem is that OKC still lost.
Thunder coach Scott Brooks isn't looking for one man to do it all. "We're not concerned with how many points Kevin scores," Brooks said. "We don't like to go into a game having him have a monster game in order for us to stay in ball games. That's not how we need to play.
"We're not looking for individual guys playing monster games. We needed to play better defensively."
The Thunder was better defensively Monday in beating New Jersey. Durant was once again the leading scorer, but this time with 18 points.
--An ice storm hit Oklahoma City and threatened to suspend Monday's game against New Jersey. The Nets and NBA officials were able to arrive safely, so the contest went on as scheduled.
The weather didn't help the crowd. Thunder officials expected attendance of more than 18,000, but only around 5,000 braved the icy conditions. Those who made it were treated to a win.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "It was a great win. Obviously, we would have liked to have finished off the game better, but it was a great win." -- Coach Scott Brooks on beating New Jersey on Monday night despite being outscored 31-12 in the fourth quarter.
