Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2009-01-01
--Coach Scott Brooks continues to sing an upbeat song despite the setbacks. He took a 2-17 record into the New Year's Eve game with Golden State. Despite trying to keep a healthy sense of perspective, the losses keep him up at night.

"Sleep is not easy at times," he said. "Frustration is there, but I've always felt that challenges that you'll face have to be tackled with excitement. I can't get down because we're not winning games right now. But don't get me wrong, it's depressing at times."

--Assistant coach Ron Adams has come aboard to round out interim coach Scott Brooks' staff. Adams brings 17 years of NBA coaching and player personnel experience to the Thunder. His most recent stint in the league was six seasons with Chicago. The first five years were spent as an assistant coach under three different head coaches before being a special assignments scout for the Bulls.

Adams has also worked for Milwaukee, Philadelphia, San Antonio and Portland. The coaching staff had an opening after former coach P.J. Carlesimo and assistant Paul Westhead were fired.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I'm looking at it like this is my second opportunity." -- C Nenad Krstic after his return to the NBA with the Thunder.
