Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2008-12-29
--The Thunder almost sent Friday's game at Detroit to overtime. Down two after Allen Iverson's jumper with 0.2 seconds left, Jeff Green nearly tipped in a half-court lob at the buzzer.

The ball bounced on the rim twice before falling out.

"It was a good look, and Jeff is one of our better leapers," coach Scott Brooks said. "It just slipped out of his hands. It's unfortunate, because it would have been a great overtime."

--Forwards Kevin Durant and Jeff Green, the Thunder's two leading scorers and Washington-area natives, made their only visit of the season to their home stomping grounds with Saturday's game against the Wizards at the Verizon Center.

Their first trip home didn't go so well. As rookies with Seattle, Durant and Green combined to score 27 points on 11-of-34 shooting in a 22-point loss on Jan. 6.

They combined for 48 points this time -- Durant had 25 and Green 23 -- but lost again.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We're getting tired of these moral victories. We've got to get some wins. If we continue to play like this and get those key stops like we did, we'll win games. It's just a matter of time. We're going to start to turn this around." -- F Kevin Durant, after the last-second loss at Detroit.
