--The Thunder went into Tuesday's game intent on slowing down Clippers forward Zach Randolph, who was coming off back-to-back 30-point games. Randolph came into the game averaging 26.0 points and 10.5 rebounds since being acquired from New York on Nov. 21
"Zach can score in so many different spots on the floor," Scott Brooks said, "and now the Knicks have rubbed off on him. Now he's shooting threes. He loves that block on the right side. He's a mid-range shooter, puts it on the floor and now he shoots threes. It's a challenge. He stretches the defense more." --Thunder chairman Clay Bennett was named Oklahoman of the Year for 2008 by magazine Oklahoma Today. Bennett, the founder of a private investment firm, led the charge to bring the NBA to Oklahoma City when he relocated the Seattle Sonics.
"No one came close to Clay Bennett as we set about selecting this year's Oklahoman of the Year," said Louisa McCune-Elmore, Oklahoma Today's editor-in-chief. "His accomplishment presents an extraordinary moment in the life of Oklahoma, probably among the most important achievements in our capital city's history."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "We sometimes bring intensity throughout the game. We sometimes lay off a little bit and in this league, you can't do that. I guess with the teams with the better records we tend to step up and when we play teams towards the bottom, we let up a little bit." -- Kevin Durant, after losing to the Clippers.
