Oklahoma City Thunder Notes, Quotes 2008-11-04

--The Thunder is built around Kevin Durant. That doesn't mean he has to do it all, but the franchise player isn't getting much help from his supporting cast in the early going.

Oklahoma City was 29th in the league in scoring after two games. Durant was the only player averaging in double-figures. He could use a second weapon.

"We don't just need a second," coach P.J. Carlesimo said. "We need a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth. We need a whole bunch."

--F Desmond Mason enjoyed watching the Thunder's youth lead the team to its first victory of the season. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green were instrumental in the comeback over Minnesota.

"It was a great win for us tonight," Mason said. "Being one of the old guys on the team, it was great seeing these young guys grow up (Sunday night). We played very well on defense. I thought that was the key to the victory."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Sometimes you've got to treat Kevin Durant like he's Michael Jordan." -- Rockets forward Ron Artest, on defending Durant.
