COLLISON DAY TO DAY WITH BROKEN BONE IN THUMB
Thunder forward Nick Collison sustained a broken bone in his left thumb late in Sunday's game against Cleveland and is listed as day to day.
Collison did not practice Monday, and his status will be a game-time decision for tonight's game in Atlanta. Collison wasn't available for comment following Monday's practice but was seen lifting weights with both hands.
"I haven't really talked to our medical people yet, but just talking to Nick, it's pretty sore," said Thunder coach Scott Brooks.
A team spokesman said Collison's thumb is painful but not at risk of further injury.
Collison averages 7.0 points and 6.1 rebounds in 28 games. After a slow start to this season, Collison has picked up his play in December, averaging 8.1 points and 6.6 rebounds this month on 69.2 percent shooting. He's scored in double digits in six of his past eight games.
Thunder SIGNS KRSTIC TO OFFER SHEET
Nenad Krstic has signed an offer sheet from the Thunder, and the New Jersey Nets now have until Tuesday, Dec. 30, to match or decline the reported three-year, $15.8 million contract.
Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti declined comment since Krstic's rights are still held by the Nets. But Krstic, who was playing this season in Russia, might join the Thunder as early as Dec. 31 against Golden State.
SWIFT UPDATE
Robert Swift said he's ready to return from a back injury that has sidelined him since Nov. 19, and Brooks said Monday there is a chance the 7-foot center will play in the Thunder's next three games.
"He's definitely in the mix," Brooks said. "We're going to have to monitor his minutes and take it day to day with him. He's coming off an injury for the last four or five weeks. We don't want to rush into it. We want to slowly build his stamina, build his conditioning, build his confidence.
"He does things that we obviously need. He's one of our better low-post defenders, and he knows how to play."
Swift is averaging 3.7 points and 6.3 rebounds.
