Collison could return tonight against Philadelphia

Collison could return tonight against Philadelphia Nick Collison practiced Monday and Tuesday and is optimistic he will play tonight against Philadelphia after missing the past four games with a sprained knee.

"As long as I don't get any swelling or pain through the night or shootaround I'm going to try and go," Collison said. "It's still day-to-day. As of now I feel good about it.

"That being said, it's something I've been dealing with. The swelling could come back and it might be best to take another day (off). But I feel pretty good."

LIVINGSTON RETURNING EARLY?

Shaun Livingston underwent arthroscopic knee surgery two weeks ago. Original estimates were Livingston would be sidelined three to four weeks, but he might return tonight.

"We'll see how he feels," said coach Scott Brooks. "He looked very good (in practice). He was active. Nothing was holding him back."

Asked if Livingston would immediately join the rotation, Brooks said: "It depends. He gives us another playmaker. One of his strengths is passing the ball. He hasn't had a lot of minutes early on. Unfortunately he had that minor setback."

NO IVERSON TONIGHT

The Sixers reportedly have offered a contract to Allen Iverson, a nine-time All-Star who has a career 27.1-point average. But the earliest Iverson would play for Philadelphia would be Monday.

"He's a very competitive guy, a talented player who could help a lot of teams," Brooks said. "It's just a matter of whether he wants to fit in and play a role. But if he's better than your starting point guard you can't expect him to not want to start."

BLOCK PARTY

The Thunder is fourth in the league in blocked shots (6.3) behind Indiana, Atlanta and the Clippers. Rookie Serge Ibaka (1.1) leads the team followed by Jeff Green (0.94), Kevin Durant (0.88) and Etan Thomas (0.88).

BRIEFLY

Nenad Krstic said he hopes to return to the lineup tonight after a one-game absence because of a sore Achilles. Krstic, however, appeared to still be favoring his left foot as he walked around at practice. ... The Tulsa 66ers have signed forward DeVon Hardin, who was a second-round pick of the Thunder in 2008. To make room for Hardin, the 66ers released former Oklahoma State point guard Byron Eaton.
